In the Spotlight“Current census information indicates that San Francisco has a significantly large population of older adults. Senior adults are the fastest growing age group in San Francisco. It is projected that the proportion of seniors (60+) will grow by 28%, to 174,000 individuals by 2020 and that these seniors will comprise 21.3% of the city's total population.
“From this data we extrapolate that a sizable proportion of these senior individuals will be low-income seniors who will need the services offered by Curry Senior Center.”
